Computer name

Locate the device name on windows


Open System Properties by one of the following ways.

  • Windows Logo key + Break key
  • Right click My Computer/This PC > Properties
  • Control panel > System and Security > System


Click the right mouse button on This PC on the left and select Properties

Under Computer name, domain and workgroup settings, the Full computer name is the device name

This is where you can obtain the computer name

Find your device name on a MAC


Open System Preferences by Finder > Applications > System Preferences

Double click Sharing.
