Simultaneous file access

This system synchronises data between the server and a remote workstation.

It is possible for users to open the same document more than one computer same time. If both users make changes to the same document, only the last one saved will be available.

The last save will over write any previous versions.

The system will not warn you of this.

Time needed to fully Sync a document

Once a document is saved, it will take a few seconds to update on the remote computer. If the Document is open on another computer then when the remote user saves their version, yours will be over written.

Remote computer must be online to sync

If the remote computer is offline, it will not sync. It should be possible to sync the remote computer anywhere there is an internet connection.
