SMTP test website
Web sites used to confirm SMTP settings. Its also a good way to verify which security levels are available.
Click here to go to www.SMTPer.net
You will need your;
- SMPT hostname
- SMTP port. Try 587 (with security) then 25 (less secure)
- Login – usually your full email address
- Password – this is usually your email address password
- Email from – this will be the email address you wish to test send
- Email to – use an email address you have access to for verification
Make sure you use secured connection if available.
Some providers (for example fast hosts on older accounts) may use a username and password which is different from your email address and password. Modern mail servers use the same credentials.
