Email signature

Other customisations, not installed by ourselves, will need to be reinstalled by who ever installed them in the first place.

Typical signature

A typical signature will contain a disclaimer of some sort. If you accidently send an email to someone you shouldn’t, you can help to cover yourself. If you include the line

This communication/email together with any attachments transmitted with it is intended only for the use of the addressees and may contain information, which is privileged and confidential. If the reader of this e-mail is not the intended recipient or the employee or agent responsible for delivering it to the intended recipient you are notified that any use of this email is prohibited. This email is strictly confidential unless otherwise stated.

Legally, if the wrong person gets this email they are apparently legally bound not to use use any of the content for anything and they are not to send it to anyone else.

If you have received this email in error please notify us immediately. Then delete this email and any copies of it and remove it from our deleted items folder.

This helps to ensure that anyone else with access to the email should not be able to view it.

The sender makes no representations as regards the absence of viruses in this email.

This should relieve you of the possibility of there being a bugin the email, or that the email may have had a virus added to it in transit or someone is spoofing your email address etc. A bug in this context refers to any form of unwanted software.

Addressees should check this email for viruses.

Receipiatiants should ensure that adequate security precautions should be taken to prevent, where possible, any bug slipping into their system, including, but not limited to email.
