Wireless base instructions
Brief instructions for new users setting up a Yealink DECT base stations’ including models W60B, W70B, W80B, W90B, W80DM, W90DM etc.
The DECT base can be powered either by its own 5V PSU or by POE (Power Over the Ethernet cable). This means the DECT base only needs a single to work.

Connecting a wireless handset
Both the handset and base station need to be configured to look for each other. The DECT base MAC code is always written underneath it.
First go to the base station and tap the ‘Paging‘ button on it once.
On the handset, go to settings (the Gear icon) and select ‘Registration‘.
Select ‘Register Handset‘.
The last few digits of the MAC code of the DECT base should show up on the handset – select it and press ‘OK’.
You will be asked for the PIN number for the base station. We normally use 780265 but your phone may be different.
Searching for a mislaid handset
If you lose the handset and it is within range of the base, you can press the Wireless button on the base to make the handset ring.
Factory resetting the DECT base
Only reset the base when instructed to do so by Megganet or your IT rep. Factory resetting the base will cause all its settings to be cleared including its connection to the telecom provider. The base may be configured to automatically re program itself but if it is not, then it will need to be programmed manually.
If you have a W60B or a W70B.
- Unplug the power supply.
- Long press the Paging button, do not release.
- Plug power supply, observe the LED indicator lights until they all light up.
- Release the Paging button.
- Restart the base by disconnecting the power to it for 10 seconds, then reconnect the power to it. The base can take up to 5 minutes to fully restart.
If you have a W80B, W80DM, W90B or a W90DM.
- Plug in the power cable or POE Ethernet cable.
- Press and hold the Device button until the LED indicator lights change to a solid yellow light, should be about 20 seconds.
- Release the button and the base station should reset. Please note the base can take up to 5 minutes to fully restart.
