ConnectWise on an Apple ‘On demand’

Download the installer.

Make sure you are in contact with Megganet during this process as we will need to give you a special code as part of the connection process. We may also require your log on password so we can make the necessary changes on your Apple. Don’t worry your screen will not be blanked out and you will be able to see everything we do.

Both Apple software and ScreenConnect may change the way they do things but, the instructions below should not change significantly.

Use Safari to browse to www.headoffice.it

Find and select the ‘ConnectWise‘ link (top left).

You may be prompted for a download. Enter the code we give you and click the White arrow in the Blue circle as below.

Next, you will see the following window. Select ‘Download App‘.

Down at the bottom right of the screen, you will see the newly downloaded program.

We now need to run this program by clicking on it.

You should now see the notifications alert at the top right of your screen.

Click ‘Options‘ and click ‘Allow‘ as below.

At this point we can see your screen but we cannot see any Icons and we cannot do anything just yet.

Next, Quit ‘Safari‘.

Granting permissions

Next you need to grant the ScreenConnect application the necessary permissions for screen recording and accessibility. There won’t be any screen recording done but this is a requirement for ScreenConnect to work correctly.

Click on the ‘Launchpad’ and open ‘System Preferences‘ as below.

Next, Open ‘Security and Privacy‘ as in the pic below.

Next, select ”Accessibility‘ from the list on the left. Then check the box next to the ‘ScreenConnect client name‘.

You may need to click the unlock icon down at the bottom left in order to proceed.

Then select ‘Screen Recording‘. Make sure you tick the ‘ScreenConnect Client‘ icon as shown below.

At this point, we should have remote access and can take control of your Apple computer to work on it.

Disconnecting from the remote access session

When we have finished working on your Apple, you can restart it or exit ScreenConnect to end the remote session.

Future remote access

You can levee the ScreenConnect installer in the downloads folder and run it anytime you need us to remotely access your Apple, or you can just delete it.
