IONOS email fee

This is for IONOS email clients using either a POP or IMAP email service.

When you reserve a domain with us, we can include up to 10 email addresses within the annual domain fee.

The free email address are provided with a 2GB Mailbox and if you discover, it is filling up, you can upgrade to the 10GB or the 50GB Mailbox.

There is no fee for upgrading to the 50GB Mailbox but we charge £10 for moving from the 10GB Mailbox to the 50GB Mailbox.

How do I order a larger Mailbox?

Just phone Megganet on 028 8283 1111 or 077 8856 2087. We will usually get the new mailbox activated before the end of the phone call.

The fees below refer to the mail service provided from our IONOS mail server.

50GB Mailbox	£7.20

Once you place the order for a larger mailbox, the upgrade will happen almost immediately.

The monthly payment can only be made by Direct Debit and you will be emailed a VAT invoice for this service. If you don’t have a Direct Debit mandate already set up with us, we will set one up for you. You will receive an email from our bank to request you to sign up. We will clear some space in your Mailbox so you receive this request.

How do I check the size of my Mailbox?

Log onto your IONOS webmail service at https://email.ionos.co.uk

Enter your email address and password. On the bottom left, you will see your mailbox size and how much of it is used up.

As we can see from the pic above that the client has a 2GB Mailbox and has used 1.59GB of it.

Alternatives

50GB Microsoft Exchange accounts cost less and have additional features however, it is not possible for some of the email accounts in your domain to stay free on IONOS and some move to Microsoft Exchange.
