Teams username and password

Firstly, we do not actually provide support for Teams. It is a far reaching program with continually changing formats and an ever increasing number of uses, settings, configurations etc.., Just makes it impractical for us to provide anything more than first level support.

Prerequisite

Before you use teams, you must have a Teams username and password. Without your Teams username and password, you may only use trial versions – if you can actually get them to work!

Your IT person should have issued you with a username and password to log into Teams. Our policy is not to send both your your username and your password in the same message so you might get your username in an email and your password by TXT or WhatsApp.

Please note, this may be your email address if it has been configured that way It may not be your Office 365 login credentials.

If the Teams username is your email address then the may be a seperate password for logging onto your email, and your Teams. They are different programs.

If you have Office 365 Business Basic, Standard or Premium, you will have a licence for Teams.

What if i don’t have a version of Office which has Teams?

It is possible to get a Teams licence without having any other Microsoft product. Ask your reseller.

If you have Microsoft Apps for Business, you can purchase a Teams licence which will be extra on top of your existing licence.

Be careful here as the credentials for Microsoft Office 365 Apps for Business and your credentials for Teams will be different. Do NOT mix up the credentials.
