ER605 Omada – change internet provider username and password
There may be occasion for you to change the username and password for your current internet provider from within Omada.
Before you start you will need the web address of your Omada controller and the username and password to get access. You will also need to know the new internet username and password for your new internet service.
Please note; the Omada interface may change from time to time but the basic process should not change significantly.
Also, this will only work if your current internet service is still active. When you input the new internet username and password, you will be disconnected from your current internet service and you will have no internet service until your new one goes active. So, you will need to know when this takes place which is not possible to predict.
If your current internet service has gone down, you will need to log into the Omada controller VIA its IP address. You will need to know what this is in advance.
Log onto your Omada control panel
You will need to log into your Omada control panel in order to make the changes. If you are using the cloud service, you will need to make sure your internet service is still running.
Log into your Omada control panel with your usual username and password.
Then select your router as shown below.

Then select ‘Config‘.

Next, scroll down and select ‘Common Settings‘.

Next, select ‘Settings -> Wired & Wireless Networks -> Internet‘.

Next, clear the current side window popup by clicking the ‘X‘ as shown below. Do NOT close the browser.

Next Select the icon under ACTION.

The only 2 things you need to change are the ‘Username and Password‘ as shown below.

Click ‘Apply’. Check if the new service is active. If not, it may take up between 5 and 15 minutes for it to fully restart. You may switch off your router, your OC200 Omada controller and your hubs, switches, wireless access points etc, it may also take them 5 to 15 minutes to fully restart.
NEVER reset your equipment. This will cause it to fail and we will need to schedule a callout to restore services and this will be chargeable.
